As I continued to get interested in boxing I noticed different styles on how fighters struck their opponents. During the match against Gervonta V Pitbull Cruz I noticed how both opponents had different stances and methods when attacking and defending. While Pitbull's stance was unique, Gervonta's style was the one that caught my eye at that moment. Instead of focusing on the offensive like usual boxers do, Gervonta had a strategy in which where he focused on landing hits by waiting for the opponent to strike first. He focuses on countering opponents, maximizing his reaction time with the strength he put into the punches he swung. Due to this interesting style, I was persuaded to create this art piece representing his style of boxing.
