Nissan GTR R32 (1989-1994)
Blender | 2025
The Nissan GTR R32 has always been one of my favorite cars growing up. I used to ask my parents to buy toy versions of it and would treasure them as if they were real. Watching the car race, drift, and perform at shows made me dream of driving one someday.
After studying Blender for nearly two years, I decided to take on this 9-week project to challenge myself and use everything I had learned. I built the R32 completely from scratch, focusing on smooth curves, balanced proportions, and realistic reflections. One of the hardest parts was keeping the surfaces connected and the curves consistent without any distortion. Getting the right symmetry and clean topology took a lot of trial and error, especially since even a small change in mesh flow could affect how the reflections looked on the body. I also learned how adjusting materials and lighting could completely change how real the car appeared.
This project was one of the results of my ongoing effort to work independently, completed almost entirely on my own with minimal guidance from my instructor. It also marked a point where I felt I could finally bring my ideas to life freely in Blender, combining creativity with technical skill in a way that felt truly my own.
